The location is 2 minutes from Gora Station and also few minutes away from the cable car. Very convenient. There are a few places to eat not so far from the hotel. The lobby is small but open with industrial theme. We arrived early and left our luggage to explore a bit. We came back an hour early and waited. A few other people arrived at around 2:40pm and started to check-in. I approached the desk and also checked in slightly earlier. The room we were appointed is very spacious. Lots of space considering there's a twin bed (on wooden base) and a sofa. I like the nice colour scheme, lighting and tatami like carpet. The bathroom has separate shower/bathtub and toilet area however the sink is outside the bathroom (on the bench next to the fridge/tea area). Also, you will need to asked the concierge for amenities as it's behind the desk. Staff were all friendly and well spoken. Both breakfast and dinner (we had half board booking) were really nice, delicious and very well presented however, there is no variety. Breakfast is expected as it is buffet and you can chose what you want to eat however the dinner was from the same menu the night before, we just picked a different protein (same dinner option is not stated when we booked for 2 nights although it asked for food preference and allergy). The waitstaff seems to be aware of this and apologized (no apology needed)and offered us extra drinks on the house. This is not an issue as it was still a nice dinner. The hotel also sends you recommended places to eat and areas to visit. We booked during peak time (cherry blossom season) so the room was a quite expensive however, it is a very nice hotel and would stay again. We also appreciate the birthday drinks provided in the room!

This gem feels like a 5-star experience. It is small, modern, spotlessly clean, comfortably laid out, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The room was huge (by Japan standards) and comfortable with a gorgeous view of the valley. The onsen was wonderful, there are plenty of little bonus touches and amenities, and the included meals were great (hearty breakfast buffet and healthy fresh big dinner). Most of all this location across the street from Gora train station is extremely convenient - you can literally see if the cable car is coming from your room. It made exploring Hakone so easy and comfortable. I can't wait to stay here again.

Kendra

Exactly at the station, very convenient. Big and beautiful room, fully equipped. Nice onsen (kimono and towels provided for it). Available washing machine and drier for a fair price. Extremely clean. Breakfast fair enough. You also have the option to have dinner at their restaurant (we did not visit any other restaurant in the area so we cannot say whether it was more or less expensive, better or worse than other options. It was simply enough and very comfortable option after a long day).

The location is fantastic, absolutely perfect for walking around to sights and for arrival/departure to other destinations. The staff were absolutely wonderful, everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was big and the hotel in general is well curated. Breakfast was lovely, and they accommodated for my dietary requirement without issues. The onsen area was clean and easy to use. We were able to easily leave luggage before check-in and after checking out which made our stay easier.

Adeline

Located directly next to Gora station after a beautiful train ride up the mountains, this place was an incredible value for the cost. A couple of restaurants nearby and walking distance to the Hakone Open Air Museum. The hostel itself is very modern and the staff spoke English well. The onsen was very nice. Staff is more than happy to hold your luggage before and after check-in/check-out so that you don't need to worry about going there too late or leaving early.
